Gorgeous Silk and Cotton Co-Ord by Diane Freis Knits. Featuring her signature shirred waist on the silk skirt, the top is silk front panels and cotton knit sleeves, back and trim. Buttons down the front so can be worn as a top or jacket. Made in Hong Kong in the 1980s. Excellent vintage condition, no flaws noted. Label says dry clean only but this silk is able to be hand washed in cold water and line dryed. Roll in a towel to remove excess moisture. You should never wring/twist silk.
A feature of many Freis items is that one size will cover 2-3 sizes, clever use of shirring at waist, blouson tops and voluminous skirts. Best fit a 8-10-12 au. Measurements:taken with the garment laid flat one side only. Shoulders raglan, Bust 56cm, Hips 52, length from shoulder is 63cm. Skirt waist 25-45cm elastic/shirred waist, Hips free, Length 78cm. Wear together or wear separately, winning look either way.
