Gorgeous Silk and Wool Co-Ord by Diane Freis Knits. Featuring her signature shirred waist on the silk skirt, the top is lambswool torso with silk sleeves and collar with signature silk tassel ties, ribbed cuffs. Bold print in red, black and white shapes. Made in Hong Kong in the 1980s. The condition is like new. Label says dry clean only but this silk is able to be hand washed in cold water and line dryed. Roll in a towel to remove excess moisture. You should never wring/twist silk. Has a spare button sewn into side seam.
A feature of many Freis items is that one size will cover 3 sizes, clever use of shirring at waist, blouson tops and voluminous skirts. Best fit a 8-10-12 au. Measurements:taken with the garment laid flat one side only. Unstretched and stretched. Shoulders 41cm, Bust 45-55cm, Hips 30-45, length from shoulder is 65cm (note in photos we had the jumper tucked up for a shorter look. Skirt waist 25-45cm, Hips free, Length 85cm. Wear together or wear separately, winning look either way.
